WHOISとは
WHOISは、インターネットのドメイン名、IPアドレス、およびAutonomous System(AS)番号の所有者を照会するプロトコルです。 それは、TCPベースでデータベース検索を使用することによって行われます。
WHOIS検索はコマンドラインインタフェースによって伝統的に使用されてきました。 異なったデータベースを同時に検索するなど、操作を簡素化するGUIと呼ばれるウェブベースで利用可能になってきました。
ウェブベースのWHOISクライアントは、WHOISサーバに接続して、検索を実行するためにWHOISプロトコルを当てにします。 そのうえ、コマンドラインWHOISクライアントは現在、システム管理者によって広く使用されています。

What is WHOIS?
WHOIS is a protocol to retrieve the owner of the domain name, Internet Protocol address, and the Autonomous System (AS) number on the Internet. It Ceri (question) makes a response by using the database searching with the TCP base (response).
The WHOIS retrieval has been traditionally used by the command line interface. It is available in web base (GUI) that simplifies the operation as a different data base is retrieved at the same time now.
The WHOIS client of the web base relies on the WHOIS protocol to connect with the WHOIS server and to execute the retrieval now. Moreover, command line WHOIS client is being widely used by the system administrator now.
The WHOIS system started aiming to play the role like the telephone book so to speak to contact the manager of Internet Protocol address and the domain name that the system administrator was not under my management. How to use the response data that returns to Ceri has evolved to deal with an altruistic usage (for instance, https providers of digital certification services for the electronic commerce) and wicked usages (for instance, E-mail advertisement sent in large quantities and without permission).
In WHOIS, the sisters protocol standard that is called RWHOIS exists.
